FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

Does the mould need to be disassembled?

In most cases, no – we clean the mould directly in the press, often just after opening it and letting it cool to a safe temperature. Disassembly is only needed for deep cavities with limited beam access.

How long does cleaning take?

It depends on the scope, complexity and degree of soiling – smaller elements can be done in one to two days, entire façades in several weeks. We set the exact schedule after a site survey and a test cleaning.

Will the laser damage the mould surface?

No, we set the laser parameters so that only the layer of dirt evaporates and the mould metal remains untouched. Texture, polished surfaces and dimensional accuracy are also preserved.

Can moulds be cleaned during production?

We clean during a short machine stop, when the mould is open and safely accessible, for example between jobs or during scheduled maintenance. Production is stopped only briefly and can restart immediately.
